melvyn bragg’s outstanding muslim jesus

It probably won’t come as a suprise to know that i am big fan of the Qu’ran - i spent a while at the L’Abri centre today reading about the Abrahamic religions and how they relate to one another, including the Hadith, the apocryphal books of Enoch and the Mishnah. There is an enormous misunderstanding of Islam in this world of ours and it is corrupted by extremists hijacking the message of this faith and using it for evil ends. The word “Islam” means “peace”, believe it or not.

As one Imam points out, to be a Muslim you must believe in Jesus Christ (”Isa” in Islam). This documentary i stumbled upon is truly outstanding in the way it tackles a topic rarely discussed. What blew me away was learning that at Medina (the site of Mohammed), there is an empty grave next to him for Christ. Seriously thought-provoking stuff.

It’s 45mins long, and worth the time.
